Joy H. Brewer

Joy Brewer is the owner and founder of Brewer Defense Group. Upon graduating from law school, Joy served as the law clerk to the Honorable Robert F. Orr on the N.C. Supreme Court. She has since focused her practice exclusively in the area of workers’ compensation defense with more than fifteen years representing clients before the North Carolina Industrial Commission. Joy has handled all types of legal issues in this area, including compensability, medical causation, occupational disease, fraud, disability and coverage issues. In addition, Joy has significant experience in handling claims before both the N.C. Court of Appeals and N.C. Supreme Court.
